Sparktel is partnering with a leading Irish based Plant and Equipment provider. They provide services and solutions across a variety of industries from construction, to utilities and events. As the organisation continues to grow, they now require the operational leadership of an experienced General Manager. You will be responsible for the full operational control of the company as well as the P&L.
This role is for a high-potential individual, capable of working in a growing area of the business with a multi-disciplinary skillset and capable of handling a wide variety of tasks and self-direction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Day to day operational management of the business
- Assisting the leadership team and MD in driving growth as well as operational readiness across the business.
- Providing insightful and accurate reporting on all operational and financial indicators.
- Leading a team of regionally based Operations Managers.
- Ensuring high performance across the supply chain, inventory management, product maintenance as well as transport elements of the business.
- Profit and loss responsibility for each cost centre
- The ongoing development of key management
- Driving a culture of performance across all levels of the organisation.
Skills and Competencies Required:
- Previous experience in a senior operational role.
- Strong people leader.
- Genuine career ambition to grow into an MD level executive.
- The ability to manage multiple objectives in a fluid and growing environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
- A high degree of initiative which enables valuable support to be provided to the Managing Director
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Ambitious and willing to invest in own training and development.

- Base Salary €85,000 / €90,000
