Job Title: Site Engineer – Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Projects

Salary: €45k-€50k
Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer based in Co. Kerry to join our client on a permanent basis. Our client is a leader in the delivery of large-scale utilities projects across Ireland and the UK. The successful candidate will be experienced in setting out and site-based engineering tasks and will report directly to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works on site in accordance with approved construction drawings and specifications.
- Establish site levels and maintain accurate survey control throughout the project.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure setting out accuracy and quality of workmanship.
- Maintain comprehensive records including daily site diaries, allocation sheets, and progress reports.
- Resolve technical issues that arise during construction in a timely and practical manner.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site.
- Ensure all work is delivered in line with project timelines, specifications, and defect-free standards.
- Identify potential improvements and value engineering opportunities.
- Support temporary works coordination where required.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar site-based engineering role.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction.
- Experienced in using robotic total stations and other setting out equipment.
- Familiar with MS Project or other project planning software.
- Self-motivated and solution-focused with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Valid Safe Pass, SMSTS, or CSCS/MSIC certification.
