Job Title: Electrician
Salary: €50k-€55k + vehicle

Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join our client in the Tipperary area. Our client is a leading provider of technical design, build and maintenance solutions in the Telecoms Industry. This role will report to the Head of Electrical and will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they meet quality, time, and budget standards. This is a field based role and the successful candidate will be required to work across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle both planned and reactive electrical tasks, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
- Conduct site visits and surveys for new and ongoing work
- Ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Carrying out regular maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Test and repair telecoms and data equipment, including fixed electrical testing and PAT testing.
- Perform maintenance on UPS systems and generators.
- Install and maintain small to medium-sized electrical projects.
- Be on standby for emergency callouts as part of the on-call rota.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Cultivate customer relationships with a strong focus on delivering excellent service.
Experience Required
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- A fully qualified electrician or a relevant electrical engineering qualification.
- Experience working in critical environments such as data centers, telecoms, or network infrastructures is beneficial.
- Knowledge of DC systems, UPS, and generator systems is a plus.
- Solid troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Familiarity with air conditioning and mechanical systems is an advantage.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (current and valid).
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and general PC applications.
