Job Overview
Sparktel are partnering with a large utilities infrastructure firm to hire a Department Manager for their Solar Division. Reporting to the COO, this position will allow you to gain exposure into the solar industry in a growing and successful infrastructure company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for delivery of budget & P&L targets.
- Lead the launch of the company’s entry into the Solar Installation market
- Deliver growth to meet the company’s ambition to be the leading Solar Installation company in Ireland
- Ensure industry leading Safety and Quality standards are adhered to and SEAI compliant
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through KPI management and process review
- Deploy and manage resources to fulfil the requirements of the agreed programs of work
- Carry overall responsibility for the management of all deployed staff
- Create and maintain a culture of excellent communication, strong trust, and reliability amongst your reports
- Carry out and participate in regular audits of staff performance and quality of work to ensure the highest standard of service and workmanship is being achieved
Experience
- Experience in a similar role within the Solar installation market a distinct advantage
- Experience motivating and managing teams
- Financial and budgetary management experience
The person
Technical
- Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to utilise workflow management tools
